Uma Nomad started by the name Mamma Nomad; and was born during our adventures around the world. Our founder; Sammy, and her daughter Joyaa, have been traveling the world for 9 years, and counting. On their way creating epic clothing from recycled fabrics, in designs inspired by this beautiful planet and her cultures, nature and creatures.

As Mamma Nomad grew, the team managing and sharing her success grew, too. And as our focus and customer base extended way beyond only Mamma’s, Mamma Nomad became Uma Nomad: Offering epic Earth-friendly apparel for women, men, and children, under a more suitable name.  

Next to that, we use every little piece of fabric we have, of the waste material we make bags which our customers get for free with their purchase.

With every step in our creative process we keep the social and environment impact of what we are doing in the foreground of our minds. We make sure that during our entire production people are treated fairly. Our tailors and seamstresses get paid more than they would normally do, and during corona lockdown, we made sure that everyone involved in production kept their income. 

Our designs are playful, sexy, funky and comfortable. We aim to make something extraordinarily beautiful, for beautifully extraordinary people. Because we believe there’s enough ‘normal’ stuff out there.
